One Week Down, Three to Go (before we know)

Well, I don't know about you, but it sure has hard for me to be patient.  Wait and wonder, wonder and wait..  Today marks one week, post surgical insemination for Zoe.  Makes me wonder what she's been thinking ~about  all of this....  Perhaps, "So what was that vet appointment all about and why does my tummy no longer have hair?"

I can't help but wonder if some of those swimmers were able to make the journey to find a few good eggs and work their magic.  I sure hope so!  As with all things, time will tell.  For now, I need to focus on the fact that the stitches have healed beautifully and Zoe is her usual happy, healthy and hungry self.

All for now.  Thanks.

Now We Wait

Procedure is over.  We are home and Zoe is resting at my feet...seems a little uncomfortable for her to lie down, but she'll get a pain pill tonight.  I'm sure she'll be her usual self in no time, but need to keep her more inactive for the next 7 days or so.

Thanks to Dr. Sondel and our tech, Adam!  Both were super!!  When Dr. Sondel asked me if I wanted to watch, I leapt from my seat..."of course".  I was able to watch the process being performed and I also got to see the swimmers under the "microscope".  Very happy with our vet care at Spring Harbor.

Tomorrow's the big day...

So, according to Jesse (aka Dr. Sondel) today, we're almost there, but not quite.  Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning - I'll have my fingers crossed for a successful breeding...then the other waiting game begins!
